Kat Jones, Founder
Kat Jones established the award-winning Motiv with the goal of creating a communications partner that blends results-driven strategies with invaluable collaboration. With 20 years of experience, Kat has consistently delivered quality PR and marketing outcomes for her clients.
Kat was named one of the top PR pros by Business Insider three years in a row (2020, 2021, and 2022) and was profiled by ThinkLA, VoyageLA, ShoutOutLA, Authority Magazine, Canvas Rebel, Bold Journey, and The PR Podcast. In addition, she was a Featured Juror for the w3 Awards and is an Official Juror for the Webby Awards, the PRWeek Awards, and the Communicator Awards. She is also a member of the Academy of Interactive & Visual Arts as well as the International Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences.
Prior to starting Motiv, Kat was VP, Communications at digital media company DEFY Media. Before joining DEFY, she ran global communications for live streaming platform Azubu. Prior to that, Kat was an early employee at Machinima, the first multi-channel network on YouTube, where she evolved into a PR leadership role. Lastly, she began her career at Marvel, helping market and promote global television and animated series.

Jeremy Bonds, Senior Publicist
Jeremy Bonds is a strategic marketing and communications leader specializing in digital media, PR, entertainment, and geek culture. With over a decade of experience, he has worked with brands such as Warner Bros., IGN, Amazon, and Paramount Pictures.
At Motiv, Jeremy has led national campaigns for Titmouse Animation, Critical Role, Skybound Entertainment, and Dungeons & Dragons, to name a few.
Before joining Motiv, he supported press operations for the 70th Primetime Emmy Awards and held roles as an NBC assignment editor, a producer for an award-winning radio station, and PR lead for a maritime museum. His career began as a production intern for CONAN, followed by an apprenticeship at Den Design Studio, where he crafted props for SNL, Wicked, and The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
Jeremy holds a Master’s degree in Strategic Public Relations from USC and is a proud member of The Academy of Interactive & Visual Arts, and has shared his expertise as a speaker at USC on multiple occasions.

Nikki Flynn, Consultant
Nikki Flynn is a creative PR and communications leader with 20 years of experience across B2C and B2B sectors, including entertainment, media, consumer product, and tech. She's worked with leading global brands such as Visa, EA, Fandom, Amazon, Coca-Cola, and Levi's, as well as emerging market innovators.
Nikki led global PR for Fandom, the world's largest fan platform; was the Head of Communications for product design company, Drop; and, spearheaded product integrated communications strategies at Visa. Prior to this work, she spent time in the agency world, juggling multi-channel work across PR, social media, events, and partnerships for a variety of clients. She also spent ten years in-house at gaming companies across the U.S. and Canada. In those roles, she launched blockbuster titles such as the 2K Sports suite, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, and Spore.
Nikki brings a fresh approach to helping companies hone their identity and awareness potential.

Tyler Lee, Junior Publicist
Tyler Lee has nearly a decade of journalism, marketing, and communication experience within gaming and entertainment.
He's held marketing positions at Asmodee NA and Gen Con, as well as produced bylines for multiple publications in the video game industry.
Before breaking into entertainment marketing and journalism, Tyler freelanced as a copywriter and content advisor for various companies. He has vast experience helping brands acquire, maintain, and scale their audience.

Jessica Clemons, Consultant
Jessica Clemons specializes in talent partnerships and outreach in the realm of digital entertainment.
With ten years of experience in freeform unscripted content, Jessica has developed strong relationships working with notable companies such as CollegeHumor, Dropout, Smosh, New Rockstars, WWE, AEW, Spotify, and Bravo Television. In her role, Jessica collaborates with brands like Fanhome, Helix, Squarespace, and many others, where she analyzes trends and viewer data, promising engaging narratives and enhancing audience engagement.
Jessica has led initiatives to promote diversity and inclusion in the geek and nerd world, unscripted comedy, and podcasting, helping to create opportunities for individuals from all backgrounds in digital media.
